I'm Bruno, and if you are reading this you are quite surely planning your wedding, so congratulations. Let me tell you something about myself and music. My first approach to this incredible language of the heart was at the age of ten, piano lessons with my grandmother who graduated at the "Conservatorio
di Palermo" in Sicily. I left piano for singing and guitar after I learned the basics of music. I started listening to Elvis, Sinatra, Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and many others at the age of 13. I went to England for the first time to learn the language that same year. Learning English properly was such a good idea, since I then travelled and performed in London, New York, Paris, Vancouver, Utrecht, and Mauritius. A few years ago I returned and settled down on the beautiful Amalfi coast where I met my wife (she's Canadian and we got married in 2011). I coordinate music for weddings and events, I sing with The Ravello Jazz Band and with The Wedding Sound Duo, and I play classical guitar.
Music is the one element that can really create that "WOW factor" at a wedding. Therefore having a music coordinator who has an extensive knowledge of music is important. After performing for a couple of years for local agencies/planners, I realized that providing customers directly with such a music coordinator would have been surely a good service. With this in mind I started Amalfi coast music, that allows me to inquire about the bride and groom's taste through direct contact, and tailor events' music to customers' preference. I stopped working for agencies and started working alongside them, and the customers' feedback I've been receiving from the start confirms the choice I made is right.
I consider myself a singer/performer focused on giving his best for each gig, but also a mediator between customers and musicians. My goal is to provide the bride and groom with the music they want, ensuring professional musicians and fair rates, while providing musicians, and myself, with good gigs and a fair profit.
I expect from musicians the same things that I expect from myself: they have to be talented and love music of course, but they also have to be professional, punctual, and courteous. Most importantly they have to be always reachable by email before the event, and by mobile phone on the day of the event and the day before, in case of last-minute updates. The Amalfi coast music team has now more than fifty professional musicians I work with regularly, perfoming from classical music to DJ sets, including jazz, pop, bossa-nova, rock&roll, easy listening, and soul bands.
